If it is just one person, it may not signify a definitive glass ceiling. Talk to some of your colleagues about their salaries to see how they compare. Also, if you have been there for a while and have been going above and beyond, ask for a raise. At some places I have seen, the men are just more willing to go out of their way to ask for more money. It’s not always a glass ceiling, but them being more vocal.

Yes I tried and was unable to, same for him, that was just his offer upfront.

We just had reviews, my review feedback was great but my points they scored me didn’t reflect that, i got like a 3% raise and still make less than him.

Swear I’m a very head strong person, I know how to advocate for myself and have! I plan to go to my boss with or 1:1 next week and ask him about my scores.

I think the flaw is in the company. And there is nothing I can do. I even found out from another longer term employee that even if I get a title change my raise will be 10% of my sign on pay… so I’ll always be below him regardless. It’s actually crazy
