Can I be honest? My first year as a software engineer was really fucking hard. Like much more intense than anything I’d experienced in college. Lots of growing pains. Lots of working late. Lots of feeling like incompetent. I’m hoping I can carry my-
learnings into year 2 with a newfound confidence in my skills and start to grow a healthier relationship/boundaries with my work. I still feel like I know very little, but I have a lot under my belt to be proud of.

Yes, it is a skill issue. What a joy I get to keep improving my skill set, and my brain hasn’t stopped developing.

It’s more impressive to struggle and succeed than it is to never struggle at all
