So since they’re stopping updates to Windows 10 soon, my comp sci peoples help me decide what to do. My PC i’ve had for 8 years now isn’t good enough to run Windows 11, so I was thinking of switching to a Linux distro, but i like playing GTA on it. HELP

I would just keep windows 10 and start saving for a new computer. I know it’s expensive but 8 years is a good run. Just please don’t anything sketch on it. As your computer stops getting updates, you will stop getting security patches. Mostly that means no piracy and no niche/not-well-known (often porn) websites. Again, id look into saving for a new computer. Also keep an eye out for SteamOS. It’s not available for computers yet but they say it’s on the way.

I feel like i ran out of characters too fast, But I’ve heard Linux isnt the best for gaming, take that with a grain of salt because I haven’t dug too deep into this topic yet. I just started at my new job making very good money, should I just bite the bullet and buy a new PC?

I mean, 8 years is a pretty good run. I don’t think it would be a bad idea to get a new pc

Video games are making you less productive switch to Linux instead of babyos11

If you really wanna experiment with Linux, look into baazite but do not expect it to be a good experience yet.

After 8 hours of working, walking my dog, making dinner, cleaning around the house. No shot my brain is even capable of anything productive at that point lmaooo. GTA is a necessary wind down for me

But BET thank you ima look into that… gonna weight my options but heavily considering just biting the bullet on a new PC. #1 had a great point, 8 years was indeed a great run
