The little ones are actually very docile so it was just a matter of putting my hands in a cup shape and since it’s so young it’s tail cannot yet detach! This is something they gain when they have matured and store more nutrients in their tail.

It’s also a very last ditch effort to detach their tail if they feel extremely threatened and id personally never try to harm the little guy
