he had said gun violence death were worth it to keep hid 2nd amendment rights, even though the leading cause of death among children 0-17 in the U.S. is gun violence. He has children at home who are statistically at a higher risk of being killed by a gun and yet, he thought it would be worth it for his children to die.
i wouldn't wish death on anybody. but having empathy for someone who has no empathy for others and also said that he doesn't believe the word empathy exists, should be ashamed. Charlie wouldn't care if you died to gun violence. He said himself that deaths due to gun violence are necessary every year so that they could uphold the second amendment. who knew that he was also talking about himself. Nobody should have to witness people dying but the people in Gaza see it everyday, people of all ages.
Comparing him to hitler is crazy. Now I DO NOT AGREE with the things he said, but to stoop that low and compare him to someone that committed, genocide, mass deaths, and heinous war crimes is deplorable. Yall really don’t know how to let ppl have their opinions and move on with your day. I get being passionate about something but that’s what makes opinions, opinions. It’s honestly detestable the lack of humanity y’all are showing. A life is a life. Whether you like him or not.
don’t get me wrong he was rlly out of pocket most of the time, but the man was a father and had a family. i wouldn’t have a problem if this happened to a terrorist or a rapist. you must be really heartless if you think someone should be killed because you don’t agree with their beliefs. it is everyone’s first time living.
I think you need to have a broader perspective. Words have immense power, especially with a platform like his. While people were (and still are) dying of Covid he spread misinformation about vaccines. While people are dying of gun violence, he not only promotes gun ownership, but brushes off their deaths as a necessary causality to protect the 2nd amendment. The bigotry of people like him encourages violent hate crimes towards minorities and immigrants. He has blood on his hands, even if it’s>
Comparing? Kirk chose to speak up for his beliefs, and it's terrifying to think that the next time anyone has an opinion on something they risk being shot, because that's the world we're living in. I was curious to know that persons response on how they feel about an INNOCENT man being murdered, since they are so quick to throw hatred at Charlie Kirk, who let me remind you-was also innocent. Hitler killed millions and they tried to compare the two.
Yeah I simply don’t view him as innocent. I’m not saying he’s Hitler ofc, but his rhetoric was dangerous, those beliefs he spoke up for were dangerous, and led to people being harmed. MLK spoke up for equality. Maybe you should broaden your mindset, a lot of people are dying because of people like Charlie Kirk, even if he never directly killed someone. To me it hardly makes a difference, he was evil and now he’s dead
This is about gun violence and being killed for sharing your thoughts and feelings and beliefs just because he didn’t support what you wanted him to do doesn’t justify killing is okay because someone’s not on your side of things killing is bad regardless of who it is violence against other humans is bad whether it’s Gaza or Israel at the end of the day we are all human beings
When your thoughts and feelings propagate hatred and killing towards a mass of other people, to me it’s not just a matter of not being on my side. You ARE a killer in my eyes. Now I also agree that at the end of the day the largest takeaway should be that we really need some good gun legislation in this country, but also I don’t really care what happened to him
Well first of I mean I don’t agree with the point of the thread. If gun ownership were restricted then this never would’ve happened, but people like him allow shit like this to keep happening in the first place, to many many people. The people I have empathy for are the people who are victims of the rhetoric of people like Charlie Kirk, not him
I’m sure the man was unstable, I could never kill, but that’s not the point. We are talking about a man who openly disregarded gun violence, spread health misinformation, supports a genocidal president, and spreads hate speech. All of these things lead to pain and death far greater than a single shooter ever could. I wasn’t hoping for it to happen, especially not like this as an opponent of gun ownership, but yes I am not affected in the slightest about what happened, and I’m unashamed to admit
Which article or clip do you want of him supporting isntrael? What format? What platform. The many times he denied the genocide. This is surface level knowledge. His takes were nearly daily. Go to his twitter or his website and you will see dozens of tweets articles and videos of him saying these horrible things.
I have no faith in solving any major issue other than long term rigorous education that would be infeasible important most of the US. I promote my beliefs to those I interact with, but I’m growing impatient with bigotry. The country is divided, and at this point I’m just hoping the states I value protect their values
I get ppl pointing out the irony of him saying ‘to keep the second amendment some ppl have to die’ (or sum like that don’t take me word for word) but I was mainly pointing out the lack of humility within these posts. Like 3,000 ppl including his wife and kids had to see a person be shot to death. I just don’t find that funny in any way, shape, or form. A family still has to grieve a loss at the end of the day.
Honestly, people are forgetting all the context to this statement. He talks about how we protect banks and sports fields from stuff like this with guns, why not our schools? Why is money and our sports players more protected than our children? He didn't go into this part, but you can mow down a bunch of people with a car, but will cars be banned? No. Its unrealistic to say there will be zero deaths with guns, but how you arm and protect those who are doing good sure as hell will lessen it.
