Like it’s valid to say “we’re expecting” because both parents are, but the dad isn’t pregnant or having a baby

It would be better just to say, like “My wife is having a baby and expecting” instead of we're having a baby

You could say “we’re having a baby” bc both parents will be raising the baby (hopefully) but not we’re pregnant bc only the woman is pregnant
