I hate to say it, but I think I’m outgrowing my friends from high school. They’re all in their early 30s, still live at home, and still work the same dead end jobs. They all just have no drive. I’m more further along…
Live alone, pay my own way, have a solid career path. They just have no drive and no desire for better. One other difference is I am actually interested in dating and they’re not. I guess to upgrade my friends.

I’ve had to let go of a lot of old friends for the same reason. Some people just won’t grow up.

Right. My friend always complains to me about how grouchy his grandparents are while living with them and I just keep telling him he needs to find a better profession and move out.
