I mean yes, and liberalism is also a much more *hopeful* mentality. A lot of policies and liberal ideas rely on people believing that others are inherently good and want well, and won’t take advantage of others, and conservatives often assume the opposite, that everyone is out to get eachother. It’s not hard to get why people develop less faith in others as they age.

i believe living a life that forces you to work together to survive brings you farther left. and the farther left you are the less you’ll prioritize hoarding money. but i’m not a fan of liberals either. liberals are still pro capitalist which is inherently violent and the last 2 democratic candidates we’ve had were pro genocide. idk what about genocide says hopeful and believing in the inherent good in people.
