There was a post like yesterday which was ā€œIs 17 (hs senior) and 18 (college freshman) too big of a gap?ā€ Some people have lost their damn minds

It’s different as you get older. 16 and 19 is bad but 20 and 23 is fine but same age gap. 34 and 38 is fine too

i feel like your age divided by five is a reasonable age gap

idk i’m a junior in college in a class with freshman/sophmores and immediately when i walked in I thought they looked like high schoolers and literally called it, it’s a notable difference for me

life compatibility is what people fail to look at. if you’re not in a relationship where the age difference is 24 hours, people start bugging out

Honestly, only 20/18 is fine. After that, divide by 7 and round to the nearest integer

For me I’d have issues with this not specifically for the age but because to me a college student is more mature then a highschool student so even if they were both 18 it would be weird if one was in highschool and the other in college if they are both in college that makes sense

Eh, I don’t know if that always works. I’ve heard I feel like a lot of dudes like to make up and lean on those hard ā€˜math rules’ like that to justify going as low as they’re allowed still. 😬 I remember this one dude at work being so insistent to our coworkers that ā€˜half my age plus seven is perfectly fine’. We did not ask. Hella weird. 😭 But two years is completely fine - don’t know what that’s about.
