My bf was 🍇by his ex gf, and he broke down sobbing to me about it the other day. I feel so fucking bad. His dads words to him when he opened up to him was “you’re one lucky guy” like how fucked up is that

That’s terrible. I’m so happy you’ve made a safe space for him to process it.

And most people believe that it doesn’t happen to men.

Ex bf was 🍇 by an older classmate when he was really young and he had really bad intimacy issues because of it and in the end made him asexual.

It’s so fucked up. Honestly. Just because someone’s a male doesn’t make their experience with it any less important than when it happens to a woman

A lot of other women don’t believe this. I’m not trying to be sexist but it’s common on social media

Tell me abt it bro. I was fucking apalled. Because it happened so many times. Like she would literally sneak into his house and do that to him. And no one fucking helped him.

I wish I had met him sooner to help him, because no one helped him and she did it to him multiple times

My heart really aches for him. One of the hardest parts for survivors is the feeling that it was somehow their fault, even when it absolutely wasn’t. The best thing you can do is keep being patient, listen without judgment, and gently remind him that what happened to him does not define who he is.

Men who go through this often face their own unique struggles, including shame and silence, which can make it even harder to process. Healing takes time, and it isn’t linear—but with support, it does get easier. One day, the weight of it won’t feel as heavy as it does now

I know, and that’s why when he wants to talk about it, I make sure my attention is 100% on him and he feels heard. I have previous experiences with the subject myself, and I know how important it is to feel heard when talking about it

I am so sorry love, no man or woman should ever go through anything like this

Thank you, last I heard of him he is slowing healing from it. ❤️‍🩹 I just wish more people believed that rape happens to both genders.

People on social media some people just brush that off and it’s sad
