Am I the only one unsettled by all the abortion jokes directly after the midterms? Like regardless of how you feel about whether it should be legal or not, the memes and jokes were very disturbing

im not capable of getting pregnant, but i see abortion jokes as a tongue in cheek celebration of womens freedom. like, yes girl get that abortion because you should be allowed to and its okay to want that

I get what the jokes are getting at but I feel like it desensitizes people to how traumatizing it is to undergo that procedure. I’ve talked to three of my friends about it and they all agreed they wished there was more awareness about the mental toll of the procedure, instead of how it’s talked about online as just “whatever”
