My mom did something very similar, you’re allowed to be mad. You expected something, you wanted improvement for her and her family/you. And she chose to ignore the truth because it didn’t benefit her.

like shes just doing everything for him and not helping us or even talking to us. most of the time shes on call with him and just ignores us and when shes not on call with him shes just yelling at us over dumb stuff. I tried talking to her abt it and now she saying that i hate to see her happy but i didnt even mewn it like that i wanted to see that her actions are affecting all of us. he literally had a whole different family and shes still defending him.
