Cry more. I didn’t get any help and had to pay my own way through college. You want to leach off your parents, then you don’t bite the hand that feeds you!

Felt. They are psychos. And it’s boundaries that healthy families wouldn’t even think twice about respecting

My parents did nothing but abuse me too. I got a job as a waiter and paid my way through college myself. If you want to control your life, take agency of it. Otherwise, you’re at their mercy.

I just gave you the solution. Become a waiter. Waiters make more money than most jobs out of college. You can take this advice and start having some agency over your own life, or you can keep being your parents zoo pet. Your choice.

you can give solutions without being a bitch and telling someone to cry more. if you wanted to be helpful you're doing a shitty job

You know what, you are right about that. The sensational cry more comment was not the right move. But I really recommend just becoming a waiter. I worked at Red Robin and took home 100-150 dollars each shift in tips alone. In less than 8 hours a shift. You don’t need your parents if you get the right job.

Keep being spoiled and eating from the palm of your parent’s hands, then crying when they treat you like a child (as you still act like one). If you take agency over your own life, they will also respect you more! I know it’s hard, but all things in life that are worth it are difficult!

I was in a abusive family before I left, my freshman year, but the only reason why I was able to leave was because I go to a school that offers aid based on income and they granted me independent student status. Having a shelter over your head without the uncertainty of being kicked out and made homeless is so important. Summer has internships and you can work on campus full time but no home no stability and I will NEVER EVER judge those that have to wait and rightfully need to vent.
