Some people can tell they’re ace because they don’t like people. There’s different paths for different people, but experiences and surroundings can give it light. If you cannot feel a sexual connection to someone no matter what, that’s usually a telltale sign

Emotional bond. I also have a really strong fetish which complicated things

You can still be ace and have your likes; I’m demiace, so I cannot feel that type of pull to someone without a deep emotional bond. You might also be demiace, but there’s a community here that’d answer with better variety
