tbf i think a lot of heavily tattooed people just want to be fetishized bc they also fetishize other heavily tattooed people. like they get tattooed bc they wanna date someone tattooed and they know theyll want someone who’s also tattooed

tattoos originated in subculture but now that they’re mainstream it’s just an aesthetic they know specific people will want them for

I have many tattoos, stretched ears, and other piercings and my fiancée has no tattoos and just ear piercings. I wanted to look a certain way but I don’t expect her to want to look that way. It just depends on the person

Fetishize seems a little strong, i think people just like body mods and want to be with others that think the same lol

I remember they found tattoos in like 3,000 year old mummies. Wasn’t it originally used for medical purposes 🤷‍♂️. I don’t remember the whole article lol

true i dont really know the whole history of tattoos. i was mainly thinking about the yakuza and japanese subculture. they weren’t the first to tattoo but they made it a symbol of rebellion and non adherence to norms and laws
