My family situation rn sounds pretty similar and my sister “refuses to pick a side” but what she doesn’t realize is that by doing that she’s picking my moms side and also kind of enabling her. I’m sure the situation are vastly different but my advice is don’t try to be neutral about your loved ones getting hurt or abused. They’ll likely feel like you agree with the abuse
