Haha, my parents live in a nice middle class neighborhood. Their neighbor’s parents, who live in a rich neighborhood, bought him (23 y/o) bought him his house AND I AM SO SALTY

not everyone’s parents can help. it’s hard to not compare to others but everyone has different jobs, different incomes, sometimes people have partners that share the cost of everything. i mean i get comparing but blaming everything on saying other people’s parents paid isn’t fair. & also if their parents did help with the cost or getting them on their feet, that’s a good parent… like my mom might not buy the house but she’s gonna try her best to help get me stuff for it..idk that’sjustme🤷🏽‍♀️

What parents often do is pay the down payment for their kid as a gift, but the mortgage payments and other expenses like property taxes are generally on the kid.
