Complimenting clothes is not sexual, I don’t care what people say they’re just wrong on that. Personally, I like to compliment people when walking by them and stuff like that, where I will turn and give them a compliment and then keep going, I don’t think they’d think that anyway but it make it especially clear I’m not into them; I do that a lot and I’ve never had someone react weirdly so far (some people don’t notice I addressed them tho) But even a direct compliment, it’s usually fine
