Everytime someone in my life finds out I have money, they remind me why I don’t tell people that I have money

It may seem like it but not everyone will react the same way. I grew up with friends whose families were rich and I didn’t think of them any differently. For the most part they were humble about it and never rubbed it in anyone’s face. So I think that’s why I don’t care when I find out about someone having a lot of money, it doesn’t phase me. You’ll find those kind of people hopefully!

I have a few friends and my boyfriend who have never treated me differently so I’m grateful for that but others… it’s not been a kind reaction. Most of the time, they beg and beg for money until I cut them out of my life because I’m not a bank. I don’t like that I have most of the money that I do have. I truly live off what I make from my job so I like to think that I am humble about it. I’ll occasionally splurge on stuff for myself or my boyfriend or on birthdays for my close friends.

I understand. Those type of people are not worth having around if they beg you for money honestly. They’re not truly your friends if they take advantage of you like that. It’s hard to cut people out of your life but you’re probably better off not having them around. Splurging for yourself and the people you care about it absolutely okay. I wouldn’t feel bad about that.

Oh trust, I do not feel guilty for splurging on myself or the people I care about every once and a while.
