Yes, both men and women have to do this in certain cases. We all have to bring each other up, especially if you love them. It's all about maintaining your standards and seeing the potential in your partner to meet those standards to live a life of love

the way i was trying to covey it was that the guy is that “someone else”. they are no better than you to you and the people who value you.
