I just wanted to talk about people’s favorite ships This person was upset that I’m comparing fictional stuff with crimes. Honestly, it shouldn’t be like this, but I think the fact that you specifically said you didn’t want to talk about weird things made the weirdos offended and caused them to try even harder to talk about those weird things. I don’t blame you ofc, but there’s this weird phenomenon on the Internet, where if you say you don’t want something, it makes weird people want that thing even more.

Like I appreciate shows that talk about sexual abuse and inappropriate relationships. Because fiction allows conversations like that to be had without harming people while still explaining that it’s bad. Fan fiction and fanart on the other hand? No- because I already know the timing your likely on when you look at a child and decide to sexualized them when the show itself doesn’t do that or put them with someone not in their age range. So I don’t wanna see those kinds of ships.

Oh absolutely it’s not even just on the internet it’s just real life too. Doesn’t make it ok. But I wouldn’t even be raising a brow if we were talking about shows/games handling darker topics like that because that’s literally my favorite things to talk about. I’m a psych major too see I enjoy looking at the perspectives and shit Just not when your promoting the behavior as ok. Ao3 and anime alone have traumatized a generation enough with that lol
