That‘s the ✨cycle of abuse✨. He’s trying to put you back into the honeymoon phase to keep you engaged. Girl, don’t fall for it. He‘ll just go back to his old ways, only to pull the same move when you threaten to leave because of his abuse. If you have any ability to leave now or as soon as possible, run and don’t look back.

Even if he’s not being nice purely manipulatively, you should never have to tolerate physical or emotional abuse. He might have feelings for you, but that’s not the same as love. Someone who truly loves you would never try to hurt you
