Most modern religions are based off Aristotle teachings and was incorporated in schools in Judea and ancient Islam so that’d be some good light reading too. I had a history teacher once that taught the class based off the influential historical figures of the time and even Thomas Aquinas incorporated Socrates philosophy into his teachings about Jesus Christ. The world is a wealth of knowledge that can help you understand the bible better. One book and one angle doesn’t give you a full picture.
