Do favors just as big as the ones they do for you or tell them it’s the bare minimum for parents

Go low contact, anyone who holds shit like that over you (family or not) isnt someone you want to give more “power”. Parents like this do not care if what they do is just the bare minimum for a parent and they will use it to guilt trip you for eternity unless you set a boundary and fully enforce it. They can’t hold shit over you if they don’t have access to you.
