This isn’t an issue with vanity but how you view yourself and your body. Lots of people have successful relationships and workout/maintain their fitness. If you’re unable to balance that, that’s ok, but to blame relationships entirely is weird. Also that weight doesn’t magically stay off because you’re not in a relationship, it’s you working towards it. Your personal goals shouldn’t change just because you’re dating someone

i don’t think it means i Have to i just know relationship weight is common because of date nights and going out to eat. i’m just not at a point where i feel confident i could avoid weight gain 🤠

lmfao me being concerned with the way my body looks IS vain of me. like, textbook vanity. i don’t want to gain weight because i wasn’t happy with the way i looked or felt at the weight i started at, and i don’t want to undo the progress i’ve made. i’m “blaming” relationships because, again, i know relationship weight is a common phenomenon. saying i’m not going to date because i don’t want to re-gain the weight i lost is literallyyyyyyyyy just me being dramatic on purpose for humor.
