My first apartment was $300. Very tiny apartment but it was my own space and I was comfortable. Where do you like that you’re paying $800 for a shared room?? That is straight up abuse.

Omg same. I’ve been looking into maybe a roommate to split rent but we’ll see how that goes 🫤

Ugh I'm so jealous 🙃 literally all I want in my life rn is my own space. I should be able to work full time and afford it. It doesn't even have to be big. Just a bedroom and a little living area with a private bathroom. IKR, it is abuse. I'm from Washington state but had to move w my family to Cali recently, which is where I saw this insane listing. One unliveable shithole to another

I know this is not the ideal thing to do but, times are hard. I would try to save up as much as possible and buy one of those little sheds and turn it into a studio, maybe ask a family member if you can pay them a small fee to let you keep it in their property if they let you for free even better but I think it’s a great idea, ESPECIALLY in California where the cost of living is ridiculous. I live in New Mexico and pay less than what you’re paying, for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Lucky 😭 land prices are the main issue I will say so if you don’t know anywhere you can put a shed you’re kinda out of luck
