I lowk hate the patriarchy. I just wanna dye my hair and get piercings and wear whatever I want without being viewed as anything less-than. Why is taking care of myself or wanting to express myself seen as ‘girly’?

not op but the patriatchy cannot directly cause everyones opinions, but it does have an influence over general trends. what becomes hot and cool, vs what gets called weak and girly. of course its possible to find people with views contrary to traditional patriarchy, but unfortunately they are not always the majority.
