I have the same anxiety but think abt it from your perspective, do you look at other people’s plates? Do you watch them eat intently? I bet you don’t. Nobody cares that much about you-in the most sensitive way😆 I tell myself that

Hey baby! Please either go to therapy or get medication to help you or both. I went through the same thing and it really is hard to just “push through it” because it is a chemical imbalance in your brain.❤️

Omg same. Today I went to the gym for the first time in awhile and I was sweating more bc I was worried people were like judging me than I was from working out.

Try to go with someone or if anything put a show on or FaceTime friends or a family member so you aren’t alone!

i used to have same problem- headphones (not airpods, the kind that say “i’m wearing headphones don’t talk to me” and any hype music/fav podcast/book or just nothing. knowing ppl won’t say anything to me is so helpful for just “head down. eat. chill. leave.”

I’m the exact opposite, tbh😭 I go to the dining hall because I know people WILL stare:3

Wait, yall get this too. I have to mentally prepare every time I go to the dinning hall at an hour that’s a little late.

What I did was sit facing the wall when possible at the counter high seats and put a show on with my AirPods to cocoon myself

So I’ve gone to my dining hall black out drunk, it was open until like midnight… I somehow made it there and back to my dorm. And had conversations with people. I’m absolutely terrified to go back to that dining hall and it’s been two years since this happened

Get over it. Put yourself in the uncomfortable positions and make yourself used to it and when it’s normal you will thank yourself later. You’ll eventually graduate and your friends will drift apart learn the life skill of socializing because when you go to work that’ll be your new friends and family and at that point you will actually be the weirdo if you aren’t conversing with everybody else.

Telling me to “get over it” isn’t helpful like you think it is. No shit I need to get over it, if it was that simple it wouldn’t be an issue.

Hey honey! I know that you really are trying to offer strong advice but when you have a true anxiety disorder, you will need medication and/or therapy because it is a chemical imbalance in your brain.
