I’ve known him for several years before we started dating and had a significant crush on him for years (even tho we stopped talking cuz we ended up going to different schools). After we reconnected we started talking and eventually started dating but I think what really sold it for me was two events: him telling me he never liked the idea of marriage until me, and him crying for the first time in front of anyone (me) in years cuz he was sad I was leaving for uni. Several years going strong still
