Because people get hurt and can see how you can go from being obsessed to completely not caring about someone. On top of that obsession ≠ love, love has to do more about experiencing pain or tribulations with someone and moving forward to enjoy the highs. Obsession burns hot and quick, love is stable and reassuring.
