I’ve had those situations and I politely don’t let go of my stuff and say thanks I’ll manage. I only have a small carryon rolling bag so not sure how additional help is needed.

I get it but like if I tell you no it’s ridiculous to like rip my luggage away from me or block the elevator like that’s not how u get paid 😭
