She’s going through a hard time after not being accepted for grad school. I told her before I would be understanding if she took a while to respond to my texts since she was going through a hard time, but she told me she didn’t appreciate my coddling because she was “a capable adult” and told me that me being so understanding frustrated her. How am I supposed to respond now when she’s doing the same thing but worst?

I had to end things with the first guy I had kissed in nearly five years after he said something terrible. On and off I’m really sad about it even tho it was last month.
