Has anyone dropped out of college and what was your experience with it? Anything I should know first. I’m thinking about it.

I dropped out after one semester. My life went to shit so I ended up joining the navy. It was the greatest and worst decision I’ve ever made.

yes. it was a good decision. the way things are set up now traditional university is rarely a good financial decision. going to community college, tech school, or straight into the workforce is a great option for most people

I dropped out twice. First because of financial reasons, and second because of mental health. All I will say is that I wish I got to finish college the first time, cuz job searching with no degree is ass and it sucks being behind all my friends now that I’m going back.

same thing happened with me and my boyfriend. parents do not understand bc in their day it was the only option if you wanted a stable life. but now it only puts you into debt if you need loans and doesn’t guarantee you a job like it used to. your parents are out of touch. it’s never too late. just remember this is your life, not your parents and you ultimately have to do what’s right for you

Thank you so much man I need to hear this. Like I just feel really alone right now especially having been involved in Greek life of all things too it just puts an even extra pressure on me.

it’s incredible amounts of pressure. try to stay connected w your friends you made in greek life bc those can be great connections for the future. networking is biggest benefit of college nowadays

Thank you I definitely will. If it’s one thing I got out of college it was friends and I’d rather that than a degree at this point.

I don’t plan on going back but I am sure that job hunting without one does suck
