here bc i have no one to talk to but i’ve been looking for a job for almost 4 months & everyone keeps telling me to just “walk in & give them my resume” like it’s 1980. i’m going nuts. i didn’t know i could be rejected repeatedly for being overqualified??

Yes being overqualified is a thing. Target and Walmart are not going to hire someone with a degree and two medical certificates, because you are going to leave the second you get an offer in your industry. If you are applying for minimum wage jobs you should be leaving those qualifications off of your resume

i am! i’m not applying for minimum wage jobs. mostly administrative positions or front desk work, which my degree applies to also. i’m also talking about getting jobs in my own field. if i’m not overqualified then to my field of knowledge i am considered under qualified. i’m just saying that i think it’s kind of silly. i know how applying to jobs works. i just stated that i had four years of retail experience (which includes customer service by proxy) and also an internship. not new to this
