Well at least you recognize that you chose the life that you now lead. There were no accidents, only choices. We all have to choose. I’m glad that you can see what your choices have cost you, because that’s a level of introspection that not everyone is able to attain.

i literally just read this and got so confused thinking i posted this (i’m high) but i relate so hard it’s not even funny

it’s never too late to start over. every day is a new opportunity and nothing is ever too far gone. i completely gave up on life at one point in my alcoholism and drug addiction and i was very close to dying. statistically i was going to die very soon if i kept it up. i got kicked out of school bc of my addiction. and now i’m 4 years sober and a lot more stable and looking at going back to school. it’s never too late. life is too precious to waste it on substances
