I grew up in an incredibly RACIST town… And it definitely stunted my development for basic thinking skill whenbit comes to race. I want to be as respectful as possible but I do have questions and idk how to ask them without being THAT person.

This mainky applies to orientals, and blacks… I actually have NO idea why my area was so oddly racist to those specific groups. So now I kid you not my brain trips itself to act normal. but then it feels racist because they are people. But they also have been abused in the history books so now I feel as if I need to do everything I physically can to make up for it…

Hey the fact that you want to learn is an amazing thing! I think some good starting points could be as straightforward as looking some things up online/finding articles or even taking a class on it at school! I feel that many people would be glad to answer your questions in person as well, especially if you preface it like you did here. If you’re making a conscious effort to learn and be sensitive of this kind of thing, most people are happy to help

Yea when I tried looking that one up it was very weird responses… I have yet to get a clarification on the proper terminology only because all 4 I have used everyone has said they all are bad… But I cant seem to find other options. I had someone tell me people of color is racist and not to use that. I was told african americans is also racist. Im not sure if some of those were misinformations or if I am truly this ignorant. I do feel its my duty to correct myself and make sure im being kind
