Exactly! Wanda Sykes has a similar issue simply buying watermelon from the store. I get where the mind set comes from but these days I just embrace it. I like what I like, if it perpetuates a stereotypes then so be it. It feels weird to not be myself just to make a point. I’m not every Black person. I’m just one, and some of us like rap and watermelon.
