While I get that a lot of women and others have had negative experiences with awful men, hearing you be sexist towards men constantly doesn’t make me inclined to want to be with you as a man that actually has his shit together

I will say I think that men can absolutely experience sexism but that is generally because of stereotypes and gender roles pushed onto them from the patriarchy. Women can reinforce those roles and be sexist toward men in the same way that patriarchy doesn’t exist in a vacuum, we all exist under patriarchy.

name literally one man that has ever had his life materially affected in any way by a woman being “sexist towards men”

A man who tried to found a home for men with mental health issues was driven to suicide by an organized group of women who thought unwell men don’t deserve to have safe spaces

I actually remembered the details wrong, look up Earl Silverman and the MASH house, it’s a very sad story from a while back. Sexism hurts everyone, and it’s our moral obligation as people to fight against it. Discrimination is wrong period and I shouldn’t need to clarify that

I was pressured and forced into sex multiple times by an ex-gf because she couldn’t fathom the concept of a guy not being ready for and not wanting sex, and would say I wasn’t attracted to her or say I was gay every time I tried to refuse. It took me a long time to understand that it was rape and I still don’t think a lot of people would call what happened to me rape. That’s definitely a form of sexism.

That being said- being sexist toward men is absolutely things like coercion around sex, not respecting mental health support etc but what isn’t sexist toward men is being wary of them or having a general dislike from concrete past experiences, since those things don’t have material systemic consequences. Patriarchy hurts men too.
