i did this because they’re already super understaffed at my job and while i don’t care about my job as an institution i do care about my coworkers who have to work their asses off when there’s not enough people. me giving two weeks gives them some time to hire someone to replace me before i go
no fr my job has been using tf out of me. scheduling me back to back closing->opening shifts (7 hours in between shifts), making me work 40+ hours a week as a part-timer without offering any full time benefits, not keeping our area staffed meaning everyone’s having to do 2-3 people’s jobs and having to wait until the very end of our shifts for our meal breaks. they don’t treat us like people.
they’ve been denying everyone’s time off requests past july 4th recently even with people giving lots of notice. because apparently they don’t have enough staff. and that’s our problem somehow? if someone gives over a month of notice on a time off request, you shouldn’t be allowed to deny it. that’s fucked up. people have lives outside of work. oh and not to mention they’ll switch around peoples schedules days before their shifts. so you can’t even really make plans outside of work
