How do you know it’s about sex? He might have a point in general it’s a bit unfair to ask for something(anything, not just money) without intending to offer anything in return(again, anything, not just sex) relationships don’t have to be transactional but they do have to be reciprocal, why should a man(or anyone) give or do anything for someone who won’t bother reciprocating
