you should have to get a license to be able to have a child and legally keep it after it’s born and i know that sounds so fucked up but the amount of unqualified parents is insane and their children don’t deserve the lives their shit ass parents give them

Unfortunately that might just lead to more home births and consequently more neglect/infant deaths, it’s not terribly uncommon to hear about dead babies found stuffed in trash bins. God rest their souls 💔

RIGHT bc what do you mean people have to go to school for years to learn how to teach kids, people have to pass a test to drive a car, literally every other major event requires Some kind of certificate. but arguably the most difficult and important one is just available to anyone??

like you should have to take parenting classes and get a fucking psych evaluation to show that you actually want this kid and will take good care of it. i am so sick and tired of hearing about lazy parents who won’t do shit for their kids or parents who just aren’t good! it’s infuriating

yeah so abortions should also be legal because that would stop a lot of those cases! i can’t even imagine the pain of being forced to give birth to something you never wanted

Abortions should be mandatory unless you take a two year class on parenting with a reasonable tuition (20k-30k a year), and failure in any particular instruction requires you to do a remedial class (twice the original tuition for that particular class because people need an incentive to finish the class and do well).

I know, it’s awful that this even needs to be debate. Full legality of abortion would be the crucial first step, if only it weren’t such a controversial issue…
