Most of them live mostly on the tips. Ask a bartender what the bar pays them. It’s normally extremely low. Like a liquid waiter/waitress.

Yea lowk why do I have to tip the bartender if I’m getting a bottled or canned drink? If it’s not a cocktail, should I really be tipping for service?
