I think self tanning is weird. Like no hate to anyone who does it, but if your skin doesn’t want to be that color, why force it? Idk I feel like in the big year 2026 it shouldn’t be normal to try and change your race.

hold on tanning and wanting to change your race are not at all the same thing 😭

I mean you might not view makeup and self tanning the same but they’re objectively in the same category of temporary aesthetics alterations. Just like dying your hair, plucking your brows, shaving, Botox, etc. it’s just personal preference. Plus it’s a much safer alternative to actual tanning

And no, I don’t think self tanning and wearing makeup are doing the same thing.

Hmm you’re right that probably wasn’t worded the best, but I still find it weird. Like tanning naturally I get, but why are we trying to change our skin color?

I was about to say lmao my skin just does that if I sit in the sun for a couple hours because of my Southern European genes

if self tanning is in the same category as makeup, then low-key skin bleaching should be as well

Ehhhh all the things I listed are safe (when done correctly anyway) skin bleaching is never safe unless it’s very localized and done with medical supervision
