Full disclosure, I STUPIDLY voted red. I was lied to and betrayed. Trump puts forward theories that the list exists. He pushes for it. His supporters push for it to be released. His DoJ says it exists and will be released. Now it doesn’t exist? Bullshit.

Unfortunately there’s so many ppl that were lied to and fell for it in literally the past 3 elections, and even in 2028 people will forget 2025 and will fall for it again. It’s exhausting.

Whatever the reason, the Cheeto has decided that the list that he said existed, that his government had proof existed and would release it within a week, and had openly stated that Epstein didn’t kill himself, now says all the opposite. And now, Trump is saying that he doesn’t want the support of people like me who just want answers. This man should be impeached for public corruption, obstruction of Justice, and abuse of power. And frankly? The entire MAGA community is imploding. And I’m glad.

If the list is real, he is suppressing it and engaging in the worst cover up in this country’s history since Watergate if not before. If it isn’t, then he is responsible for corruption and obstruction because he knowingly sent the government on a wild goose chase to condemn his political opponents. And no matter who is on the list… hang them all from lamp posts!

Rapist, there’s enough reason to doubt (given the voting history and actions of the accusers). Ableist comes from, unless I’m mistaken, an account of him mocking a disabled reporter, but he does the same thing for anyone he mocks, as for racist, I have heard repeatedly (including from a former employee) that he has required equal treatment of his employees for decades. Which is the bare minimum, sure. But still. And as for xenophobic, wanting better immigration policy isn’t quite that.

The xenophobic accusation comes from Trump’s immigration policy, which seeks to curtail illegal immigration, which to be fair I agree with, but also want immigration reform. Most people do. There seems to be a false dichotomy between “open borders no questions asked” and “North Korea no one gets in or out.” I was lied to about so much in the elections before that I couldn’t trust anyone to be honest, because I had seen Trump basically painted as a monster at every turn even when he wasn’t.

For me, that made me less likely to see accusations as anything other than fearmongering. And part of it was because I couldn’t vote for someone who had allowed Americans to be sacrificed for foreign policy points, a man who seemed to be a puppet for the “alt left” as I will call them, and ultimately, a woman who had systematically prosecuted innocent people and buried exculpatory evidence. I morally could not vote for those people. And I agreed with the policies I thought could actually pass.

What I DIDN’T count on, was Trump getting essentially turned into the second coming after 2024, and the Republican Party adopting all of his policies (and even some that weren’t his) as gospel, and all of a sudden, everything passes under the new Red Scare.

He has openly denied Project 2025, repeatedly. Unfortunately, as we have found out later, P2025 was actually perpetuated by members of his senior staff while he had “plausible deniability” and treated it as some extremist view that he didn’t hold. Trump is a very good liar and manipulator. He set himself up in 2016 as wanting reform, limiting abortion protections to something more in line with actual public desire, and immigration reform, as well as counter-terrorism, without anything extreme.

Since he had comparatively little power while he was on office the first time; he pretended to be a moderate. And most of us relied on that “moderate” fascade. Unfortunately, now he has control over the senate and the courts, a la Palpatine.

I’m not saying in hindsight it isn’t obvious what he is and was, but that it was easy to believe that it was all exaggerated. Maybe I am guilty, but it is of being fooled by a master liar and manipulator, who basically engaged in mass hypnosis (look at his strategies, they blend the fanatical populism of the far right with hypnosis tactics to soothe the masses) to radicalize people and rely on the inherent skepticism most people have for the media; which is further left than the average American

The good news is that Trump has just lost the support of about half his party base and alienated them with his direct alienation. Even if he COULD get the constitutional amendments he would need to become capable of getting into power, he and his inner circle have all committed political suicide. Three years from now he’ll be a has-been at best.

What I am, is someone who, like many, saw a man who was slandered with objectively false statements by the media, and misrepresentations. Once those were shown and exposed, frankly, I didn’t care what the media had to say, because they clearly weren’t being honest. Which made it all too easy to believe his waffling and half-denials as true. I was lied to. Deceived. I’m not right wing. For the record, I was a Bernie supporter in 2016. I think January 6th was an incident of election interference.

I also think that to blame Mr. Cheeto’s supporters for being gullible enough to believe his every word is fair. To blame them for not believing the media’s every word, when they showed a willingness to lie and misrepresent, isn’t fair. Right now, the man and his party members are engaging in corruption and obstruction, if not an outright act of treason, and we should be focusing on THAT.

Simply put, I was a fool who believed the words of a man who I thought had been lied about repeatedly. If I were to go back now, I’d probably say he is a rapist, that his immigration policy is borderline North Korean, that he is okay with turning the constitution into a piece of paper… and yeah, maybe I wouldn’t say ableist, but the rest? More than likely.

He might have lost support from his base but it’s too little too late. And they are too forgetful. They’ve already forgotten Jan 6th. And in 2028 they’ll forget about the Epstein files. Trump has lost support before but society has a short-term memory.

Not that it will matter. His base is broken beyond what he can undo, and he would need a constitutional amendment to fix his current ineligibility

Well it’s unlikely HE would run but it is very likely whoever he endorses will win the Republican nomination and possibly the 2028 election. His influence will continue to affect us.

And a constitutional amendment, even if it somehow gets off the floor, will NEVER pass in enough states.

An endorsement by Trump would be political suicide. With this, he has just pissed off at least half the party and he is now persona non grata. Even if he somehow releases the list today, he will not undo the damage he has already done.
