“Emotionless”? Is it possible you’re just living peacefully?

Do you find yourself needing to be around others to mimic their personality to have one of your own? Or do you simply feel drained and numb when others aren’t around

Why are we always jumping to the extreme diagnoses nowadays this could even be plain old autism/adhd or general lack of identity thats not necessarily pathological but noooo it *has* to be bpd

It didn’t say it has to be bpd. You know there’s multiple types of personality disorders? Didn’t even say it had to be cluster b. Not to mention your weird idea that adhd/autism is “plain” and can’t be severe. These issues also aren’t part of diagnostic criteria or common symptoms for those. You know what “I have to surround myself with people otherwise I have no personality” IS a textbook symptom of? Personality disorders

I’m aware there’s multiple types but not aware that they all have the symptom of needing to be around others to have a personality, I thought that was only bpd. To my knowledge most other personality disorders result in a strong personality not mimicking others. I say “plain” because it’s a less stigmatized diagnosis.

They don’t. And you realize doing that further promotes the stigma of other diagnoses, right? Lacking a personality (or a secure personality) is a very strong indicator of having a personality disorder (bc, well duh, they have a disordered personality). Part of it is they’re an extrovert, and people with personality disorders (even types that tend to cause withdrawal from socialization) can still be extroverted and have a drive to be around others. Real shitty loop to be in too
