My parents make me feel like shit every time we have a conversation. I want to cut them off so fucking bad but I still someone depend on them financially. I’m so frustrated and upset about it but I don’t feel like there’s really anything I can do.

As a former child that once thought the same thing, and realized even when they knew I wanted to cut them off(tbh they all know) and still willing to support you financially . Take a step back have a adult conversation with them about what’s bothering you and work you ass off so they see you are trying to support yourself

Re evaluate what you said after stating you depend on the financially. If you feel that way then try to think of how they feel about things as well

okay but someone shouldn’t be obligated to see their abusive parent’s perspective when they are frequently met with fear, mental and psychological trauma, and a lack of respect and safety around their parents just because their parents don’t completely starve them and bc their parents pay for the house.

The only thing they’re paying for, is my rent right now. I’m paying for everything else (phone, car, insurance, groceries, etc).

Yeah, that’s the only thing. Them “paying for a roof over my head” isn’t a good reason for me to stay in a position where I’m miserable though. The way you said that, or the way I interpreted it at least, seems very dismissive
