I viscerally hate like consumerist status symbol culture. Honestly this shit applies for a lot of dudes too. I don’t want ppl to be spending a ton of money on clothes just because they’re expensive or prestigious. Spend money on clothes because you like the look. Like the fucking supreme logo shit or the shoe obsession or louis vatton or overpriced watches.

See idk if you’re disagreeing w the post by saying you like cute clothes because I like cute clothes too but 1. It’s not a major part of my personality at all, 2. I don’t post about clothes all the time nor give free promotion, 3. I’m not trying to be an influencer of any sorts nor promote constantly buying and consuming clothing incessantly

I disagree with your post singling out women and i disagree that liking cute clothes automatically equates to overconsumption. Women constantly have to apologize for liking feminine things like clothes whereas men can over consume video games, sports, nerdy memorabilia like Legos, and no one bats an eye.

I never said that liking cute clothes = overconsumption. Also, if you want to complain about that then go ahead. The reason I made this post in the first place is because insane shopping hauls and back to school hauls kept popping up on my fyp, all of which were women and young girls. I’m also a woman and went shopping today to buy one pair of jeans. It’s perfectly fine to like cute clothes but there’s a difference between getting clothes you like and have the space for versus filling bags upon
