I understand where you’re coming from but the reason people generalize is because people within the same racial group generally have similar features or else they wouldn’t be racial groups. Yeah there’s going to be a few people who skew the average, but we’re focusing on “standards” which involve “most” situations. And you being white still gives you a greater (beauty) privilege over a POC with the same features.

Oh no I’m not disputing that, I’m just upset with white people shitting on certain generalized traits in different racial groups, then doing a 180° and adopting them as their own. I definitely recognize I have more privilege simply for being white. And I know my issues with it are relatively small compared to the issues WOC/POC experience from it, it just has an even wider negative impact than that

Oh I see. Relatively small? Probably, but I still don’t want to make it seem like your issues don’t matter. I hope I didn’t come off that way. Because at the end of the day, you being a human alone, especially a woman, makes you a huge victim of all of these harsh beauty standards. So yeah I can definitely see the damage that being ostracized as a white woman who doesn’t fit white beauty standards has affected you. And I’m sorry about it. Society sucks as a whole🥲💔🫶🏾
