idk man as someone who grew up with undiagnosed autism and significant executive dysfunction like yea i learned to do all that stuff but it sucked so hard and im permanently traumatized from it and it’s important to remember how different everybody experiences neurodivergence so what you can do not everyone can necessarily do as well
saying it sucks doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try but it does mean you should be careful with the “if i did it you can too” because you have no idea how much harder it can be for others and even when people are literally trying their best these things can be a constant struggle. symptoms of a lifetime condition aren’t something you can “fix” i’m afraid
like yea i learned how to do all that stuff from just trying hard and burning myself out but like that comes with like being kinda fucked up the rest of my life so knowing that i feel like it’s not really fair to ask people to just try harder when that’s not really a simple nor realistic task
i’m afraid i don’t get it cuz symptoms of neurodivergence often take the form of behaviors? like managing time poorly is a behavior. but regardless i didn’t say we can’t improve i said neurodivergence isn’t something you “fix” meaning it’s something you have to constantly manage so all im really drawing problem with is your tone and word choice it strikes me as trivializing
