idk i used to think this but then i got a life. even if i’m on my phone for parts of the day it does not mean i want to text while i’m on it. i could really like somebody and text them once or twice a day because i simply don’t feel like texting someone all day. but it just comes down to compatibility i guess
not to mention that a ton of people with debilitating mental illnesses go untreated and undiagnosed which is partly attributable to, say, others around them dismissing their setbacks with remarks like “my brother in christ just do [task]” rather than making any effort to understand why they’re having difficulty
All I was asking someone to do is to respond to a text which needed an answer by the end of the day, otherwise it would incur financial consequences from me and a whole group of other people. It was a yes or no answer that I needed. That was it. And now when everyone else has been put out of their way, I can’t call it out? I’m supposed to just sit there and say nothing? Because they’re “bad at texting?”
oh. given all that context i do think it’s totally reasonable to be frustrated with the other person, especially if it’s just a yes/no question and they cost everyone else money. like even if they do have a cognitive issue deserving of patience, anyone would be annoyed in your position
